What a great Christmas card! Jiminy Cricket and Sophie
Cricket was foaled here at Breezeway June 16, 2001 and is by Medicine Man and out of Cleo.
His two former owners loved him and he is now going to live with a new family. Sophie's father writes:
"We have enjoyed looking at his pictures as a youngster on your website. He is for our 11 year old daughter Sophie who adores him. She loves to jump and wants to get into eventing with Cricket. We'll keep you updated with his show career. In the meantime here is the photo that was our Christmas card this year."
We will pass along any news we receive about the achievements these two make in the days ahead. Our very best wishes to all!

Jiminy Cricket
We raised this nice youngster here at Breezeway. It is hard to believe he is now a nine year old! His recent ad on virginiaequestrian.com said
Jiminy Cricket----- VPBA Registered. 9 year old, 14.1h., He is a fancy Children’s/Short Stirrup/Large Pony competitor. He is a packer to the fences and will take any little one up the educational ladder. He is beginner safe and has flying lead changes. He has placed champion at many local shows, and is eligible for everything! He is trained through 1st level Dressage and will any help young one develop the feel of correct flatwork.
Cricket (aka Merlot) was always a favorite of ours and he obviously has done very well over the years. We hope he finds the perfect new owner who will continue to do great things with him and who will keep us informed about his many achievements with his new rider. See his photos in our photo albums from his early days to present day - click here.

We are delighted that Full Moon proved himself to be "the perfect family pony" and has been sold to the Bednash Family in Haymarket, Virginia. He is one lucky fellow to have 10 year old Alexa and her family carry on with his training...they plan to go to horse shows and hunts and trail rides with him and have promised us lots of photos. Our thanks for this purchase to such a super nice family.

Our thanks to Gwynne Newton for sending along the latest news about how Patch is doing. Her daughter Kelly has been very successful with this nice pony gelding who is by Medicine Man. She is now sharing him with two new riders.... Emmy Longest in red and sister Holly in pink who look like they are making great progress with Patch as their steady mount.
Gwynne says, "Just wanted to give you a little update on Pumpkin Patch (Patch). He
and Kelly had a very successful show season last year and they are
gearing up to do the Children's Pony divisions this year (2'). Patch
is also giving lessons to two wonderful young girls, and he is
incredibly patient and safe with them as always. I've attached some
pictures of them - we are very proud of them and Patch!
Holly (age 9) and Emmy (age 7) Longest. We are looking forward to an adorable year with them at the shows! Thanks."

Breezeway Rocky Road and Elysia Hall
|
Once in a while a foal comes along that is very special and Rocky was just that. He has always known how "to win friends and influence people." The Hall Family has just decided that he needs to become part of their wonderful family--first for Elysia and then when she moves on up to a horse, he will become the pony for younger brother Phillip to enjoy. What a lucky pony and I think the Halls will wonder what they ever did without Rocky! Our thanks to all. We hope we get reports and many photos to share.
